There is much to learn from China, that remains one of the few parts of the world where the official standing and academic cachet of dialectics remains high. The advance of Chinese society too, it may be argued, constitutes one of the great examples of conscious dialectical development under the guidance of three to four generations of Marxists since the era of Liberation.
The persuasive argument laid out in the work of Roland Boer in his work, “Socialism with Chinese characteristics: A guide for foreigners” where he refers to Marxist philosophy, following the lead from Xi Jinping’s own authoritative writing, as “China’s special skill.” Such works have to be studied with far greater attention than we have to paid to them so far.
